Facilitation of small and average-sized businesses, green growth, digitalization, development of electronic operations, providing the country with the internet, energy reform, various infrastructure projects, and others represent a list of issues Georgian Minister of Economy Natia Turnava, Director of the Eastern Neighborhood Department of the European Commission Lawrence Meredith and Project Manager of the EU Delegation to Georgia Vincent Rey have discussed at the online meeting.

During the online conference call, they discussed economic challenges caused by the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The parties noted that the EU would support Georgia in coping with the economic challenges and overcoming the pandemic-caused crisis.

The conversation also referred to current and planned collaboration programs between Georgia and the European Union.

Georgian Economic Minister Natia Turnava thanked the EU officials for the support Georgia received from through putting on the list of the so-called "Green Countries."

Economic Minister Natia Turnava said that this decision focused on recognizing the effective anti-pandemic measures, conducted by Georgia.
