The National Statistics Office of Georgia has released preliminary data on foreign trade, according to which $ 2.27 billion worth of goods were exported from Georgia in January-July of 2021, which is 27.8% more than in the same period last year.

In addition, according to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, in the first seven months of 2021, goods worth $ 5.21 billion were imported to Georgia from abroad. This figure is an increase of 19.3% compared to the same period in 2020.

Accordingly, in January-July, the foreign trade turnover, the sum of exports and imports, reached $ 7.48 billion, and the volume of the negative trade balance (the difference between exports and imports) was $ 2.93 billion.

According to statistics, goods worth $ 390.9 million were exported in July alone, while imports reached $ 856.4 million.
