Following the data, published by the National Statistics Office today, exports decreased by 27.9% in April in Georgia.
The export rate equaled 223.2 million USD last month.
The rate lags behind the 2019 indicator by $86.4 mln (27.9%).
The import rate has sharply decreased as it included $458 mln last month, lagging behind the 2019 indicator with $286.8 mln.
The external trade turnover totaled $3.46 bln in Jan – Apr 2020.
The rate is less than the 2019 indicator, with 11.8%.
Exports included one billion USD, while the imports totaled $2.46 bln.
The negative trade balance reached $1.46 bln in Jan – April 2020.
