President of Georgian Farmers' Association, Nino Zambakhidze thanks the government on behalf of farmers and says that she is satisfied with the anti-crisis plan presented by Georgian Agriculture Minister Levan Davitashvili yesterday.

Zambakhidze released a statement via Facebook, saying the anti-crisis plan includes the topics farmers worried about.

'I am seldom satisfied with the government programs, but in this case I would like to thank the Agriculture Ministry and Georgian government!,'' she writes.

The direct financial aid for farmers teeters between 850 and 1,700 GEL.

The government plans to spend ten million GEL on the agriculture modernization.

 

Farmers will receive 200-GEL per each registered hectare of land.

As part of the post-crisis plan, the government will provide 200,000 farmers with 300-million-GEL support.

All farmers are exempt from irrigation fees.

The tax allowance budget for farmers includes 13 million GEL.
