2020 state budget project and the report on 2019 budget utilization was reviewed at Environment Protection and Natural Resource committee meeting. Giorgi Kakauridze, Deputy Finance Minister, presented the information on basic indicators and parameters of the budget. According to the information 5% budget increase is planned despite the observed tendency of budget decrease in the region and in the world, which is quite challenging. The Deputy Minister emphasized the second important parameter considered in the budget - 2.7% deficiency volume which indicates on its insignificance. The target was the maintenance of capital investment budget to avoid decrease of economic development pace and achieve 5% economic growth.
Giorgi Kakauridze stated that the 2020 budget is increased by 300 million GEL to improve social systems.
