Although the region is supplied with food and medicines from Russia only Tskhinvali benefits from it. The situation is much worse in Akhalgori, where citizens do not have access to health services.
According to a reliable source the patients are being transferred from Akhalgori to Tskhinvali for treatment. If the Red Cross petitions, they can also be transported to Tbilisi. Red Cross is the only international organization that operates freely in Akhalgori.
