The preliminary data showed that the amount of foreign direct investment in Georgia in the third quarter of 2019 is $ 417.3 million, which is 13.7 % higher than the numbers for the third quarter of 2018.

National Statistics Office of Georgia reports that more than half of the total investment comes from the reinvestment of existing companies, amounting to $ 258.8 million.

The investment totaled $ 908.9 million in 9 months of 2019 in Georgia, which is 17% less than in 2018. The decline is mainly due to the decrease in FDI in the first and second quarters of the year.

The UK is in third place with $ 78.4 million in the third quarter of the year, the Netherlands with $ 68.3 million hold second place and Turkey with $ 43 million.
