Fifty-year-old aerodynamic engineer Antonia Terzi has died in a car accident in the UK.

She was one of the first women to be appointed to the position of head coach in F1. It was her idea to create the legendary Williams (FW26) nose during the time she worked with Schumacher.

"We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our former colleague and chief aerodynamicist, Antonia Terzi. Our thoughts go out to Antonia's friends and family at this difficult time," William's official Twitter page reads.

Terzi was planning to move to Australia and start a teaching career at the University of Canberra. Prior to that, she held the position of Assistant Professor at the Delft University of Technology.

Among her projects is the Superbus, a fully electric car that can carry 23 passengers and reach incredible speeds of up to 250 km/h.
