Ten export partner shares in Georgia’s overall exports amounted to 78.1% in January and April of 2020. The largest trade partners of Georgia, into which the country exports products are as follows: Azerbaijan (USD 145.2 mln), China (USD 135.5 mln), and Russia (USD 125.6 mln).

Ten import partner shares in Georgia’s overall imports amounted to 68.9% in January and April of 2020. The three largest import partners of Georgia are as follows: Turkey (USD 406.0 mln), Russia (USD 270.1 mln), and Azerbaijan (USD 221.8 mln).

Ten largest trade partner shares in Georgia’s overall foreign trade turnover totaled 70.1% in January and April of 2020. Georgia’s largest trade partners are Turkey (USD 469.3 mln), Russia (USD 395.7 mln), and Azerbaijan (USD 367.0 mln).

Exports of automobiles, meat, and nitrogen fertilizers to Azerbaijan from Georgia have increased this year, while cigarette and medical product exports have decreased.

As of imports to Georgia from Azerbaijan, in the first quarter of 2020, imports of petroleum gases, oil products and electricity have fallen, while imports of copper and auto parts have increased.

Figures show that exports of Georgian products into Azerbaijan have increased overall: in the first four months of 2019, products in the amount of USD 127,409,5 were exported into Azerbaijan, while in the first four months of 2020, products in the amount of 145,164.0 were exported there.

However, imports from Azerbaijan to Georgia have decreased overall: in the first four months of 2020, products in the amount of USD 235, 796,1 were imported from Azerbaijan into Georgia, while in the first four months of 2019, products in the amount of 221,843.3 were imported here.

The Commonwealth of Independent States is the largest foreign trade partner of Georgia. In the first quarter of 2020, export shares of these countries amounted to 44.5%, and import shares totaled 32.0%.

The EU states export shares equal to 20.8% in Georgia, and import shares 24.7%.
