A total of 25.7 tonnes of milk and cream ($17.9 thousand) have been imported from Azerbaijan to Georgia in 2020. Last year, however, Georgia imported 80 tonnes of both dairy products ($54.1 thousand), with this being a record amount for the previous five years.
In 2018, the imported amount of milk and cream from Azerbaijan stood at 50 tonnes ($34.8 thousand).
Milk products to Georgia are, as a rule, imported by vehicles.
Georgia has so far purchased 5,283.3 tonnes of milk and cream this year, with the largest exporting countries of these products to Georgia being Ukraine, Belorussia, and Iran.
