Doctor of Economy and Agriculture expert Badri Ramishvili has defined Georgia-Kazakhstan relationship prospects as promising. Ramishvili deems investments from Kazakh investors important for Georgia.

"Kazakhstan is an economically developed country, and strengthening ties with it can greatly benefit Georgia. Kazakh investors channeling funds into Georgia is a really positive phenomenon. Georgia's real estate market has great potential. However, we cannot focus on exports now, and in saying this, I mainly imply citrus fruits," the expert said, adding that Georgia and Kazakhstan were closely linked before the pandemic, with lots of Kazakhs visiting Georgia's resorts, especially, Sairme.

However, expert Giorgi Khukashvili disagrees with Mr. Ramishvili, saying that before the industry is developed in Georgia, its chances of building mutually beneficial connections with any state enjoying economic buoyancy is low.

"The government is trying to delude itself by posing as doing something. Economic ties between two countries prove effective if their trade balance is at least zero," he said, adding that when a contract between a weak and a strong country is finalized, with the weak having no assets at hand, the latter will fail to get any profits.
