In January – April 2020, the Finance Ministry's incomes reached 328 058 927 based on the excise taxes.

The amount is 11.59% less than it was in January – April 2019.

The decrease in revenue from the excise tax on tobacco products and from the excise tax on petroleum products was also observed, the 2020 Jan - Apr budget performance report says.

In January-April 2020, 62 898 000 excise stamps were sold, and the income totaled 114 340 468 GEL, 12.13% or 15 758 614 GEL less than in Jan - Apr 2019.

In January-April 2020, budget revenue from the excise tax on fuel hit 126 957 506 GEL. It is 20.36% or 32 460 736 GEL less than it was in 2019.

The budget revenue from the excise tax on gasoline fell by 20% to 72.4 million GEL, while the income from the excise tax on diesel decreased by 21% and equaled 54.6 million GEL.

The total budget revenue from excise taxes on gasoline and diesel fuel reached 127 million GEL, and it is 20.4% less than in Jan - Apr 2019.

In January - April 2020, the total volume of imported petroleum products to Georgia decreased by 19% and equaled 171.2 million USD.
