"Georgia should initiate South Caucasus economic integration," - this is how Levan Bodzashvili, the former Deputy Secretary of the Security Council, sees Georgia's role in the Azerbaijan-Armenia conflict.
According to him, any delay is against Georgia's interests, and at the same time, there is a chance to create a common regional investment area, which will allow the development of all three nations. According to him, economic integration is the only way to achieve long-term stability and development in the Caucasus, as well as regional strategic stability.
"There is a chance to create a common regional investment area, which will lead to political stabilization and development of the region," Bodzashvili told report.ge. According to him, the new economic union should include an EU-like single market initiative, the creation of a common regional energy and transport charter, establishing a joint regional economic arbitration and tribunal, and a single digital market as well as a single tourism association.
