The approved gas balance of Georgia for the year of 2020 has been updated.

As the updated document reads, the projected volume of natural gas supply to Georgia will equal 2.562 bln m3.

Georgia will receive 2.338 bln m3 of gas (91.2% of the total volume) from Azerbaijan, including 1.453 bln m3 from SOCAR and 884.298 million m3 from Shah Deniz.

A total of 200 million cubic meters of gas will be imported from Russia to Georgia (7.8% of the total volume).

The projected volume of local gas production will total 11.223 mln m3 (0.4%).

In 2020, the projected volume of the so-called social gas will reach 1.679 bln m3, out of which 1.088 billion m3 will be for the population.

A total of 590.709 mln m3 will be for thermal power plants.

The projected gas consumption in the commercial sector equals 853.036 mln m3.

Following the preliminary data of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, gas losses will reach 30,200 mln m3.
