Georgian Economic Minister Natia Turnava held a meeting with First Deputy Minister of Investments and External Trade of Uzbekistan Alisher Abdullayev today.

Natia Turnava referred to the reforms conducted by Georgia and the business environment in the country, as well as the advantages the Uzbek Companies will have after investing in Georgia.

The parties stressed that Georgia and Uzbekistan are stable partners, but the potential of collaboration between the trade-economic cooperation is not fully applied yet.

The Georgian party highlighted that Georgia should increase exports to Uzbekistan.

The officials also discussed the issues of cooperation in terms of investment attraction, transport, and tourism.

The trade cashflow reached 105,51 million USD between Georgia and Uzbekistan in 2019.

Georgia had 16,785 Uzbek visitors last year.
