Georgian Economic Minister Natia Turnava visited an enterprise that started producing face masks today.
The enterprise is in the Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti region of Georgia.
''I want to thank the companies having engaged in our program and produce a certain number of the face masks for free,'' Natia Turnava said, adding Adjara Texile LLC, sewing fabric Movi, Smatfarm and Sezani are the companies.
She says the consolidation is high as well as social responsibility.
''All this gives me hope that we will overcome the global challenge,'' Turnava said.
Adjara Textile will hand over 500,000 face masks to the government for free.
''The coronavirus challenge made us rapidly organize the face masks production in the country,'' she said.
According to Natia Turnava, the materials for starting production of the first batch are sufficient.
