In order to develop sport tourism, plan of development of Gomarduli was prepared in Ajara. According to Ajara Tourism Department, the project means the development of Gomarduli as an important center for sport tourism in all four seasons.
According to the study conducted by PROPROJEKT, Kobuleti and Batumi were selected as the best places to develop sports tourism.
The project for development of sports tourism in Ajara includes arrangement of professional and elite training centers, recreational sports resorts in selected territories, where different international sport events will be held.
