"The Georgian government will not resume collaboration with the Anaklia Development Consortium for the construction of the Anaklia port," Georgian Economic Minister Natia Turnava said.
She says the government sees 'zero potential' to continue collaboration with the consortium.
"To move the project forward successfully, we must look for new investors. I hope to attract them," Turnava said.
Earlier in May, the Anaklia Development Consortium expressed its readiness to attract additional investment in cooperation with the Georgian government and to continue working on the Anaklia port project.
The Georgian government officially terminated the contract with the Anaklia Development Consortium on January 9, 2020.
Afterward, it began searching for a new investor.
