IRI: Unemployment is major problem for population

According to IRI survey, 53% of respondents think unemployment is a major problem for the country. 18% consider high cost of living and high prices as the main problem. For 6%, poverty is the most important and painful subject.

Only 3% put the issue of lost territories in the first place. Pensions, health care and education are considered problematic by 2-2%.

Government incompetence, crime, internal conflicts, corruption, inflation and agriculture are problematic for 1-1%.

The study ordered by IRI and funded by USAID was conducted by Baltic Surveys/The Gallup Organization, from September 11 to October 14. A total of 1,500 people were interviewed nationwide. The margin of error does not exceed +/- 2.5 %.
