''We intensively work to ensure the sustainable management of forest,'' Georgia's Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili stated.
According to him, Georgia observes essential progress in agriculture and environmental protection.
''The forest and its resources are of utmost importance to Georgia,'' he said, adding that Georgia has developed a bill of the new forest code with the support of the GIZ organization.
In Davitashvili's words, the new bill ensures a legal basis for the modernization of the forest management practice.
''We have ambitious plans to restore the forest,'' he added.
