The first center for the transit of live animals (heavy beasts, small cattle) has been constructed in Ozurgeti, the Georgian region of Guria, with the capacity of about 4,000 heads of cattle.
The Agro Prime company carries out the project with the leading partner country – Kazakhstan.
The project investment amounts to 10 million GEL. The logistics centers include modern equipment, electric fences, and devices.
The project will have about 100 local employees.
The transit will be launched by the reception of a specialized ship in Batumi Port. The animals will be transported to the Ozurgeti Logistic Center. Afterward, they will reach the final destination point.
Australian and Georgian specialists will consult Georgian farmers in the consultation center established in Ozrugeti.
