The National Statistics Office updated the minimum wage today. In November 2021, compared to the previous month, it was reduced by GEL 0.5.
According to the National Statistics Office, last month, the minimum wage for men of working age was GEL 223.7, while in October 2021, this figure was GEL 224.2.
Compared to the same period in 2020, the minimum wage for working-age men has increased by GEL 34.7 in November. In October last year, the subsistence level was GEL 189.5.
The study also notes that the minimum wage of the "average consumer" in November increased by GEL 30.2 in a year to GEL 198.1.
In Georgia, the minimum wage is calculated based on the minimum food basket.
