Within the framework of her working visit to Azerbaijan, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Natia Turnava met with the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov.
Georgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Zurab Pataradze also participated in the meeting.
The meeting focused on bilateral friendly relations and trade and economic ties between Georgia and Azerbaijan, including trade, transport, investment, energy, and others.
The focus was on the participation of Georgia and Azerbaijan in projects of regional and global importance, including the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, the South Caucasus gas pipeline, the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, and others.
The meeting highlighted the importance of holding business forums with the participation of Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey, which have been held since 2012 and will take place for the sixth time this year with representatives of business circles of the three countries. She said the forum is a good opportunity for businesses to consider new proposals, acquire new partners, and better develop business ties, while the agreements reached in the forum will help develop economic cooperation between the three countries in different directions.
