According to National Statistics Office of Georgia, the number of newly registered enterprises decreased by 1.4% in September in total 4 014 units. Gogita Todradze, the CEO of National Statistics Office of Georgia does not think this is due to the depreciation of the GEL and the unstable economic environment.
"1.4% is not a right number. About 4,000 new economic entities are registered each month. There are cases when there is a significant increase compared to the same period of the previous year, there are also cases when we have a decrease”, Gogita Todradze, the CEO of National Statistics Office of Georgia said.
According to preliminary data of National Statistics Office of Georgia, economic growth in September was 5.2% and the 9 month average number is 5%.
