The oil bitumen imports rate included 6,5 thousand tonnes in March 2020.
The rate exceeds the February rate with 1,9 thousand tonnes, or 41,3%, while it lags behind the 2019 same period indicator with 17,7%.
As reported by the Union of Oil Importers of Georgia, Georgia received 80% of the imports from Azerbaijan (5,2 thousand tonnes).
Georgia received a total of 15,4% (1,000 tonnes) of imports from Iraq and 4,6% (0,3 thousand tonnes) from Iran.
In January – March 2020, the oil bitumen imports reached 14,3 thousand tonnes.
The rate is 25,5% less than the 2019 Jan-March indicator.
''The decrease of the imports is in direct link with the restrictions imposed due to COVID – 19,'' the Union of Oil Importers reports.
