According to TBC Capital's weekly economic review, annual remittances from Azerbaijan and Ukraine to Georgia remained the highest in the week of December 7-13.
The document states that annual remittance inflows from Azerbaijan grew by 133% on December 7-14, while transferred amounts from Azerbaijan to Georgia showed an increase of 187% from 30 November to 6 December.
A total of USD 5.49 mln has been transferred to Georgia from Azerbaijan.
According to the document, annual remittances from Armenia have still shown a downward trend, amounting to -32% in the week of 7-13 December. Annual remittance inflows from Russia went down by 20% in the same period of time.
Georgia has experienced a decrease in remittances from the Middle East countries, including Turkey.
Overall remittances in Georgia went down by 1% on December 7-13 if compared to that of the previous year.
