Joint efforts and cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and Georgia in strategic and other factors unite us," the CEO of the SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev said during his speech at the opening ceremony of a new sports complex in the village of Kizilajlo, Marneuli Municipality.
The President of SOCAR noted that because of the conditions created by the Georgian government for Azerbaijan, the country had invested billion 200 thousand in Georgia.
According to him, gasification in Georgia is at 90%, and this result is observed in several countries around the world.
"Today, I can tell you that a large part of our investments is directed to gasification. More than 300 million investments have been made in the field of gasification in Georgia. The Government of Georgia is actively helping us to invest in gasification. There are some villages where we carry out gasification, which may not give us economic benefits, but with the support of the Georgian government, through their programs, we even bring gas there.
The government is supporting these important projects to provide gas to all villages. I want to tell you with great pride that gasification in Georgia is at 90%. Believe me; these results are only in a few countries in the world. Among them, the gasification rate in Azerbaijan is at 96%, while in Georgia, it is at 90%. 70% of the country is gasified in Iran. We have had the active support of the Georgian government in implementing this project for years," Rovnag Abdullayev said.
