According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, in January-February 2021, Georgia's largest export trio is as follows: Russia ($ 71.1 million), Azerbaijan ($ 66.4 million), and China ($ 53.8 million).
In January-February 2021, the share of the ten largest exporting countries in Georgia's total exports amounted to 77.2 percent.
Russia exported $ 71.1 in the first two months of 2021, 14.4% of total exports. On an annual basis, Georgia increased exports to its northern neighbor by 17.2%.
During the same period, Georgia exported $ 66.4 million to Azerbaijan, which is 29% less than in the same period last year. Despite the decline, the country ranks second in the top ten largest exporting countries of Georgia, with 13.4% of total exports.
Export worth 53.8 million US dollars got delivered from Georgia to China in the first two months of 2021. The decrease is equal to 13% compared to the previous year, although this country remains in the top three exporting countries with a share of 10.9% of total exports.
As for the rest of the neighborhood, exports from Georgia to Turkey are worth 45.2 million this year. The dollar exported 25.5% more than in the first two months of 2020. The country ranks fourth on the list of largest exporting countries with a 9.1% share of total exports. As for Armenia, Georgia exported $ 23 million this year. The decrease is 23.7% compared to the previous year, and with a share of 4.7% of total exports, Armenia ranked 7th in the list of Georgia's largest exporting countries.
The ten largest exporting countries also include Turkey, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Armenia, Spain, the USA, and Switzerland.
In January-February 2021, the foreign trade turnover of goods in Georgia (excluding undeclared trade) amounted to 1 654.0 million USD, which is 12.0 percent less than the corresponding period of the previous year. Out of this, export is 494.7 million USD (6.8 percent less), while imports amounted to 1 159.3 million USD (down by 14.1 percent).
