Georgian Economic Minister Natia Turnava delivered a speech during an event devoted to the Power Engineer's Day and focused on Georgia's global projects.
In her words, Georgia's geopolitical role has become more robust in terms of large-scale regional pipeline projects, and Georgia has become a participant of the historical events.
Turnava says that the second phase Shah-Deniz 2, ended as part of the Southern Gas Corridor project, and it has increased the capacity of Georgia's transit pipeline.
''Last year, the required segment of the hub – TANAP: Trans-Anatolian Pipeline, started operation, and shortly the European section will also be over. It is a Trans-Adriatic section. After it is over, the main task will be fulfilled, which implies to provide Europe with natural gas via Georgia,'' Turnava said.
In her words, it means a higher level of security, more strategic importance, and more benefits for the Georgian population.
