Ski Cross and Snowboard World Cup competition stages have been held in Bakuriani ski resort, with around 200 sportsmen from more than 20 countries involved in the competitions. Bakuriani has never hosted a similar high-level competition before, and, consequently, it proved of historical significance for Georgia.

"I am glad that it is my second visit to Georgia, and everyone is immensely motivated. The competition ran perfectly well. Everyone is happy, with a smile on their faces," Pascal Pere, the Technical Delegate at International Ski Federation, said.

"We are happy with how the competition went. The track was good enough, and the competition was a high-standard test event showing Georgia's readiness for the 2023 championship. We have had only positive responses from sportsmen and teams," Uwe Beier, FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup Race Director, said.

The competition was held with the support of the Mountain Resort Development Company under the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and the Georgian Ski Federation. The partner of the event is Silknet.
