''SOCAR Company has increased the gasification coefficient in Georgia,'' SOCAR Energy Georgia Director-General Mahir Mammadov said during the Georgia-Azerbaijan Business Forum today.
As Mammadov says, the SOCAR gasification rate was 46% in 2008 in Georgia, while the indicator has reached 78%.
He says more than 10,000 users consume the SOCAR gas daily.
''This relationship relies on the friendly relations between the two countries. Georgia and Azerbaijan have strong economic, social, and cultural links. I hope relations will become more and more steady gradually. I believe that today's business forum will further support the development of business relations between the countries,'' Mahir Mammadov told report.ge.
A while ago, Georgian Minister of Economy Natia Turnava remarked that high economic growth in Georgia means increased consumption of electricity and gas.
