Giorgi Gakharia participated in the event dedicated to the completion of the transnational gas pipeline construction. Together with Ilham Aliyev the Head of the Georgian government was invited by Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Turkey. The event took place in Edirne Province.
The Leaders of the participant countries jointly pushed the button launching the first natural gas stream from Azerbaijan to Europe.
The transnational natural gas pipeline project (TANAP) considers the diversification of gas supply routes to meet the needs of Turkey and Europe. The project cost is 10 billion US dollars. Its annual capacity is 16 billion cubic meters of gas.
