The National Statistic Office (Geostat) has published the official data saying the average monthly salary has increased with 91,6 GEL in the third quarter of 2019 in Georgia, having reached 1,217 GEL.
The National Statistic Office reports the salary growth in almost all sectors adding that high salaries were observed in the following fields:
Construction – 2,008 GEL (Annual growth – 16,4%);
Information and Communication – 1,958 GEL (Annual growth – 9.7%);
Vocational, scientific and technical work – 1,936.2 GEL (Annual growth – 3.7%);
Financial and insurance work – 1,898.6 GEL- (Annual growth -19.4%).
In the third quarter of 2019 the women’s salary has increased with 924 and men’s – with 1,475 GEL.
Notably, men’s salary exceeded the women’s salary in almost all sectors according to the work types.
