"Work from Georgia" is a new project of the Georgian government enabling nationals of 95 countries and people with a residence permit to work remotely, travel across Georgia, and discover unique spots, Director of Georgia's Tourism administration Mariam Kvrivishvili said, adding that the project is innovative.
"People should visit stopcov.ge and fill out an application. The people who wish to engage in the project should provide information that they enjoy financial ability to pay for housing during their stay in Georgia," Mariam Kvrivishvili said.
She underlined that people could enjoy an opportunity to travel with their family members as part of the project.
"Naturally, foreign citizens will be subject to a 12-day quarantine. The costs will be subject to reimbursement,'' she said.
''Medical insurance is mandatory for the period people will travel in Georgia. We held several workshops with tourism officials during the development of this project. Up to 30 hotels showed interest in this project as a commercial quarantine area, which will bring them more financial benefits. On the thirteenth day after testing, Georgia's visitors will be fully-fledged tourists to rent an apartment, work remotely and travel in Georgia," Kvrivishvili said.
