A video of a 10-foot King Cobra being rescued from a train in Uttarakhand has surfaced on social media. The 28-second clip has been shared on Twitter by Dr PM Dhakate, Field Forester at Uttarakhand Forest Department, according to India Today. 

The cobra had curled itself around the exterior part of the train as the Uttarakhand Forest Department team and other railway officials rescued the reptile. In his tweet, Dr Dhakate shared details of the rescue operation and said that it was carried out at the Kathgodam Railway Station as the train stopped. The rescue team also ensured the safety of the passengers in between the process.

Meanwhile, the train was on time while the cobra, after being rescued, was released in the forest.
