In the depths of the planet, a giant mass of rocks the size of continents is hidden, which is there in complete isolation after Earth's formation. These two structures are called Large low-shear-velocity provinces (LLSVP).

Scientists have been trying for a long time to study these vast areas located in the Earth's interior, but this is not easy because they are located very deep, at a depth of about 2900 km from the surface, near the boundary between the mantle and the Earth's liquid core. One such mass is located beneath Africa, the other in the Pacific.

So far, little is known about them, although there are several theories about their origin. According to the latest theory developed by researchers at the University of Arizona, it formed as a result of a collision between the Earth and the hypothetical planet, Theia.

Scientists agree that large districts of low speed have been around for a long time. It is suggested that it is of the period when another planet collided with the Earth, and as a result, the moon was formed.

The Mars-sized planet Teia collided with Earth, one eclipse formed the moon, and the other may have left our orbit for a long time on the same principle, though it may have gone nowhere and the merger of the two planets led to the formation of a new planet. Large areas of low velocity, according to University of Arizona scientists, maybe parts of Teia that are attached to Earth. They say nothing supports this theory, but it is possible. Now their theory must be considered by other scientists to determined whether LLSVP is part of an alien planet hidden deep in the Earth.
