U.S. astronomers have discovered water in a distant galaxy using the Atacama Desert Telescope, ALMA. Relevant information is published by the scientific publication Scitechdaily.

According to the publication, a team of astronauts discovered water with carbon monoxide in a galaxy known as SPT0311-58.

The object SPT0311-58 is two galaxies, and it was first discovered in 2017. It is an early galaxy dating back to the reionization era. SPT0311-58 is the most distant, star-forming galaxy where water signs have been observed.

According to scientists, SPT0311-58 is the most massive galaxy in the early universe. It contains more dusty gas than galaxies of the same period. It makes it possible to understand better the origin and evolution of the universe and all its components.
