According to the Batumi City Hall, the 7-story building located on 26 May Street, the entrance of which collapsed on October 8, is subject to dismantling, for which up to GEL 500,000 has been allocated.
Specialists say that the building should be dismantled in stages, so the allocated amount will be distributed over two years.
The owners will be given alternative apartments. It is possible to build a new building on the same site.

As a result of the rescue operation, rescuers were able to pull ten people out of the rubble, 8 of whom were already dead, one person died at the hospital. One person is still under the supervision of doctors - Zviad Tavdgiridze is the only one who was in the building at the time of the demolition and survived. He has been removed from artificial ventilation and has positive dynamics.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has detained three people in connection with the collapse of a building in Batumi.
All three of them were sentenced to imprisonment by the Batumi City Court.
