"A Georgian citizen infected with coronavirus in Italy healed and already left the medical facility," Davit Zalkaliani, The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, stated.
"We hope that the recovered patient will soon return to her family. It is good news for us," Zalkaliani said.
The Georgian citizen living in Italy got identified with the coronavirus on March 4.
The young woman was undergoing a course of treatment at one of the clinics in Rome.
The World Health Organization officially announced the pandemic of a new type of coronavirus, COVID-19, on March 11. The organization calls on countries to fight an aggressive disease.
From today, the Georgian government has moved to a state of emergency.
There are 24 cases of coronavirus confirmed in Georgia.
Currently, there are 295 people in quarantine and 49 in inpatient care.
