The missing Ukrainian tourist, who was caught in an avalanche on Mount Tetnuldi, the Mestia region, has been found dead.
"On Feb.11, the Emergency Management Service received a message saying that the group of tourists failed to contact with one of the tourists who supposedly was at the slope of the mountain where the avalanche occurred. Having got the message, the rescuers at the Emergency Management Service headed for Mount Tetnuldi and, after carrying out search and rescue operations, discovered the Ukrainian citizen's body," the Emergency Management Service says.
Yesterday, the avalanche on Mount Tetnuldi occurred twice, with four Czech tourists being caught in it. One was immediately hospitalized. His life is not under threat at this point.
Search for the missing Ukrainian tourist was resumed today, with volunteers together with the rescuers, being involved in it.
