Giorgi Gakharia, the Prime Minister of Georgia, addressed the citizens to take security measures to prevent coronavirus.

"I would like to call on each of our citizens to simply:

Wash your hands often!

Avoid crowded places!

Don't travel abroad!

Don't be affected by the panic of some irresponsible people!

If you are in the risk zone, follow the rules of self-isolation!

We should all take care of our elderly, children, each other, and ultimately, we should all take care of our country," Giorgi Gakharia told the citizens.

There are 25 cases of coronavirus in Georgia.

Currently, there are 245 people in quarantine and 58 in inpatient care.

The World Health Organization officially announced the pandemic of a new type of coronavirus, COVID-19, on March 11. The organization calls on countries to fight an aggressive disease.

The Georgian government moved to a state of emergency on March 12.
