Tbilisi protests: Patrol Police Department head says all-out efforts to be made not to allow violence

Vazha Siradze, the head of Georgia's Interior Ministry's Patrol Police Department, said that they would exert strenuous efforts to ensure that each citizen's freedom of speech and expression is protected.

In Siradze's words, an incident has already occurred outside the parliament on Rustave Ave, with police officers responding to it immediately by making four citizens leave the area.

An altercation has occurred outside the parliament building recently, with PalitraNews operator Beka Mshvildadze sustaining head injuries.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a statement afterward.
