New details have emerged in terms of a 18-year-old adolescent, who died in the village of Kheltubani. The new opinion has been publicized by the deceased boy's family after a forensic autopsy. As it has become known, the young man had been wounded before the car accident. As his relatives suppose, the juvenile was first murdered and his body was taken away afterwards to be left in a place which was hidden from the drivers' field of vision in order to cover the crime.
The relatives' suspicion has been corroborated by the fact that a huge knife was retrieved from the crime scene, with the deceased adolescent's blood on it. The allegation saying that a car ran over the victim has been proved false by a few messages left by the victim via 112 hotline. Wounded Merabishvili dialed the emergency number twice, and in the second message, he mentioned that his condition was seriously bad. Unexpectedly, the phone call was cut off.
At that ominous day, Tornike Merabishvili reportedly visited his friend in Kheltubani village. The conflict among young men first occurred at home. After the conflict, Merabishvili left the house, with his trace being lost before his corpse was discovered. Following the investigation activities, the deceased juvenile's blood was discovered on Giorgi Termakozashvili's body, who was together with the victim. The witness specifies the cause of the conflict in his testimony; however, he denies any connection with the teenager's murder.
Despite a number of suspicious details, the Prosecutor's Office supports the version according to which the 18-year-old boy was hit and run over by an about 5-tone vehicle without leaving the corresponding trace on his body. Driver Zviad Kochuashvili, who called the police after discovering the juvenile's body is being kept in custody. Allegedly, the driver ran over the boy, who was laying on the street upside down, without noticing him.
