The confrontation between the women ended with wounding in Poti. As report.ge was informed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a 33-year-old woman wounded a 42-year-old woman on the grounds of jealousy.
According to the agency, the accused has been arrested.
"Law enforcers arrested T.G., born in 1988, on a hot pursuit on charges of intentional minor damage to health.
The offense carries a maximum sentence of up to 3 years in prison.
The investigation established that the accused, on the grounds of jealousy, inflicted injuries on the body of T.C., born in 1979, using a cold weapon. The injured woman was taken to the hospital, where appropriate medical care was being provided. Her life is not in danger.
The law enforcers detained the accused at the scene a few minutes after the incident," the statement reads.
According to the agency, the police seized the weapon of the crime - a knife as evidence.
The investigation is underway under Article 120, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which stipulates intentional minor damage to health.
