There was an armed confrontation in the Benze settlement in Batumi. As one of the eyewitnesses said during Facebook Live, one of the cars made an emergency maneuver, then the driver removed the weapon and opened fire in the direction of the vehicle coming from behind.
"He took out a gun, he was wearing a military uniform, whoever was sitting next to the driver, took out a gun and started shooting, it was happening next to me. Those in the other car were shooting as well. I do not know if they killed each other; I barely got out," the eyewitness remembers.
No one was injured in the accident.
As the Ministry of Internal Affairs told report.ge, the incident is being investigated under Article 236 of the Criminal Code, which stipulates illegal purchase, storage, and carrying of firearms.
