A 23-year-old man was wounded in the village of Pirveli Maisi, Khobi Municipality.
He was reportedly stabbed in the chest by his grandfather. The injured was taken to the hospital by ambulance, where he is being treated.
The health condition of the wounded is serious.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs explained to report.ge that as a result of operative-investigative measures, the fact of wounding in one of the villages of Khobi Municipality was revealed. D.M., born in 1942, has been arrested and charged with attempted premeditated murder of a family member under aggravating circumstances.
The offense carries a maximum sentence of 13 to 17 years in prison.
