Officers of the Police Department of the Guria Region of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia detained a man born in 1999, accused of the premeditated murder of a family member and illegal acquisition and possession of firearms.
"The investigation showed that on January 21, in the village of Natanebi, Ozurgeti municipality, the accused inflicted several wounds on his father, identified only as A.F., born in 1960, with a cold weapon during a family conflict in his parents' house, and fled. The wounded man died immediately," the Interior Ministry reports.
During a personal search of the detainee, police officers seized a firearm.
The detainee faces 13 to 17 years in jail.
