Officers of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance have arrested one person for storing and transporting a large number of excisable goods subject to marking without an excise stamp.
As a result of the investigation, 1 596 units of excise-free e-cigarettes intended for sale were seized, with a market value of GEL 47 880.
"The investigation revealed that the detainee was carrying and storing a particularly large amount of excise-free excise cigarettes with the name of HQD in the vehicle under his control for further selling," the statement of the agency revealed.
The investigation is underway under the third part of Article 200 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment for a term of 6 to 8 years.
