The family of a pensioner was robbed late last night in the village of Nojikhevi, Khobi Municipality.
The attackers broke into the Nutsubidze family at 04:00 in the morning, where an elderly woman lives alone.
According to the victim's son, the attackers demanded money and jewelry. After resisting, the attackers beat the woman, tortured her with a hot iron, and tied her with adhesive tape. One month's pension has been taken from the home.
"She is in a terrible condition. I found her bleeding, tortured, she had very little money, GEL 200, and they were looking for more, they did not believe her. She was trying to set herself free for an hour," said the son of the injured woman.
The injured was taken to a clinic for medical treatment. She will be examined.
As the Ministry of Internal Affairs informed report.ge, the incident is being investigated under Article 179, meaning robbery. The police are carrying out investigative measures.
