According to the National Bank April review, remittance inflows from Azerbaijan to Georgia have shown a 3.8% increase in April 2021. Cash inflows from Azerbaijan to Georgia accounted for 4.65% of the total cash inflows in April. Annual remittances from the neighbor to Georgia have grown by 271.8%.
Likewise, Georgia saw an increase in remittances from Turkey and Russia: annual cash inflows from Russia have risen by 154.26% (a total of $33.35 mln transfers), by 81.86% from Turkey (a total of $9.69 mln transfers).
According to TBC Capital's economic review, remittance inflows from Azerbaijan have shown a high increase in Georgia in March 2021. Cash inflows from Azerbaijan have grown by 207.6% and 145.2% from Ukraine.
Also, remittance inflows from Azerbaijan to Georgia have shown a triple growth (18.6 mln transferred in remittances) in the first quarter of the current year if compared to the first quarter of 2020.
